Course Overview
CISCP, the Certified International Supply Chain Professional credential, covers the core knowledge an early-career practitioner needs for international supply chain tasks: forecasting, stock, purchasing, transport and supplier follow-up. This 5-day foundation course prepares operational staff and new entrants for the CISCP exam and ends with a mapped supply chain for one product, marked with stock and transport choices. Blackbird Training Centre provides this CISCP Certified International Supply Chain Professional Preparation course.
Introduction
The course follows the CISCP syllabus and teaches three working models at entry level. Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) balances ordering cost against holding cost to set order size. Just-in-Time (JIT) and lean principles cut stock and waste by matching supply to actual demand. The seven rights of logistics set out what a delivery must get right, from product and quantity to place and time. The level is foundation, and teaching uses short case studies from manufacturing and retail with exam-style practice questions after each topic.
Course Objectives
- Define the main supply chain functions and explain how a delay in one passes to the next.
- Distinguish forecasting from demand planning and apply a simple forecast to a product's monthly sales.
- Compare EOQ and Just-in-Time replenishment and select the one that suits a given item.
- Interpret supplier performance data on delivery, quality and price and flag suppliers that need follow-up.
- Select a transport mode and the shipping documents an international consignment needs.
- Apply the CISCP syllabus to exam-style questions and explain the reasoning behind each answer.
Target Audience
- New entrants to supply chain, purchasing or logistics teams who need to decide which concepts to master first.
- Purchasing and buying assistants who raise orders and choose between suppliers on delivery, quality and price.
- Warehouse and inventory staff who count, store and issue stock and decide when an item needs reordering.
- Shipping and logistics coordinators who book freight and judge which documents a consignment needs before it moves.
- Operational staff moving into supply chain roles from production, sales or accounts who must choose a certification path.

What is the difference between Just-in-Time and buffer stock in CISCP preparation?
